Obituary For Joseph Marvin McGillis
Joseph Marvin McGillis, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, born August 4, 1949, in Willow Bunch, SK, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 72 years.
He spent his early years in Fife Lake, SK, attending the village school. He attended high school in Rockglen, SK. In 1967, the family moved to Moose Jaw, SK, where Marv attended SIAST. Then he moved to Regina to work, where he met Sharon and they started their life together. Eventually, they moved their family to Lillooet, BC, where they lived for many years. When retirement came, they again moved, this time to Grande Prairie, where their daughter lived.
Marvin is survived by his life partner Sharon; children: Robin (Chris), Bobby (Karen), Angel (Shawn) and Sonya; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as siblings: Carol, Bryce, Cheri (Doug) and Bernie (Debbie). Marvin was predeceased by his father Edgar McGillis; mother Flavia McGillis; brothers Tom and Chuck; sister Florilda; as well as baby brother Charles Gordon.

I am so sorry for your loss - God Bless. My name is Dianne Fitzpatrick nee: Provost I grew up and was a friend of Bryce and Marvin 's in Fie Lake. My parents were your parent's friends as well. I wish I had know Marvin was in Grande Prairie. We could have shared some good memories! Pass a hello to Bryce if you can. Dianne
