Obituary For Josephine Suyat Bueno

Josephine Suyat Bueno, a resident of Vallejo, California, formerly of Caloocan City, PH, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Grande Prairie, AB at the age of 76 years.

Josephine was born on December 4, 1947, in San Marcelino, Zambales, in the Philippines. She was raised by her father and four siblings. She is the youngest among the siblings. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology at the Philippine Women’s University in Manila, PH. She migrated to the United States in November of 1973. She worked at the California Dental Service in San Francisco, CA.

Josephine was very forgiving, caring, unselfish and very loving, especially to her daughters and only grandson. She loved to cook new dishes, which she learned from well-known chefs, and share them with her family and close friends. She was passionate about cooking and travelling.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Cesar G. Bueno; children: Jocelyn S. Bueno, Victoria K. Bueno; son-in-law, Ronald Delos Santos; and grandchild, Louis Cesar Delos Santos.

Josephine was predeceased by her father Pablo Suyat; mother Susana V Suyat; mother-in-law Julia G. Bueno; father-in-law Alejandro G. Bueno; brothers-in-law John A. Melnichuk, Michael Colocado, A J Callo and Abraham Carbonel; and sister-in-law Margarita Suyat.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie ( 10005 107 Avenue).

A Funeral service will follow on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 Street).

Interment will follow at 11:00 AM at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (9505 112 Street).
