Obituary For Julianne Karr-Child, nee Nelson
We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear sweet Julianne Karr-Child, nee Nelson, on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
Julianne was born February 23, 1957. She had a happy joyful life. Her three children were her pride and joy and her grandchildren made her the happiest ever.
She loved to entertain people and was the life of the party. She loved theater, music, and her family. She taught guitar and flute. She sang in a lot of musicals, including staring in Evita and Man of La Mancha, to name just a few. She had a deep faith with God, and was a member of People’s Church.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Jennifer Lekisch (Landi), grandsons Landyn and Jaydyn; sons Aaron Karr, granddaughter Andee and grandson Lyric, Jesse Child; separated husband Edward Child. She is survived by her father Gerald Nelson (Hilary) and mother Marion Nelson; brothers and sisters: Billy Nelson, Mary Jo Nelson, Michael Nelson, and Cathy Charko (Orest), as well as many others too numerous to list.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at 2:00pm, at 52 Pinnacle Lake Drive in Grande Prairie. Please come dressed in orange.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lung Cancer Canada (10 St. Mary Street, Suite 315, Toronto, ON, M4Y 1P9).
The family and friends extend their gratitude and appreciation for the loving care at Points West Hospice.
