On Tuesday, October 6, 2015, Katherine Berg passed away peacefully in the Grande Prairie Dialysis Unit at the age of 60 years.

Kathy was born at Johanna’s maternity home in Sexsmith on December 18, 1954. Kathy struggled with kidney disease the last several years of her life, but never let it get in the way of her love for her family. Kathy liked gardening, cards, board games, watching wrestling with her family, and old time country music. Her tastes were simple, her demands few. She will be remembered by all of us as a gentle soul with a big heart.

She is survived by her husband Talbert, son Gerald, daughter Michelle, sister Jean (Marvin), brother Norm (Bridget) and her sister Betty (Bob); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and her longtime friend Donna.

Kathy was predeceased by her brother Wayne, mother Alma, father Wes, Talbert’s brother Marvin and her mother in-law Marie.

Memorial Service for the late Kathy Berg will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave). Luncheon to follow at Oliver’s Tea Room.
