Obituary For Kathleen Hazel Moorman Bullen

Kathleen Hazel Bullen passed away peacefully Monday, April 17, 2017, at the age of 59 years.

Kathleen was born February 4, 1958 in Dawson Creek, BC to Vernon and Carol Moorman.

She was raised on the family farm in Arras at the foot of Bear Mountain. She attended school in Arras and Dawson Creek, then went on to business courses at Dawson Creek College.

Kathleen married the love of her life Terrence Hugh Bullen on March 27, 1982. They had two children: Jamie and Brandon. Together they moved around for work until building their dream home in the County of Grande Prairie.

Kathleen was full of life, love, and had an adventurous spirit, but at the heart of it all was family. Kathleen was up for any activity that involved family: from 4-H, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, quading, camping, horseback riding, working together, and Sunday suppers.

In her prime, Kathleen was dealt a severe blow of rheumatoid arthritis, but despite the pain it caused her, she never let it hold her back. Through it all, she raised a family, helped build a company, and managed the family books.

Kathleen will be greatly missed by her husband Terry Bullen, daughter Jamie (Linton) McIntosh and grandson Austin; son Brandon (Tara) Bullen and grandsons Logan and Mason.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Memorial donations may be made to Arthritis Society of Alberta and NWT (300, 1301 8 St. SW, Calgary, AB, T2R 1B7).

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult of times. I will always cherish the deep and lasting friendship I had with Kathy. She was always there for me either being an attentive ear or a soft shoulder to cry on and never once did she pass judgement. Kathy demonstrated daily what love was in all of her relationships. Terry, you were truly blessed with a partner who was always your biggest fan. Jamie, your Mom was incredibly proud of your achievements as a lovingly devoted mother and as a caring and dedicated nurse. Brandon, you held a very special place in your Mom's heart and she was delighted with your personality and sense of humour, I will miss the fact that we could simply resume our friendship whether it was a year or more since we last spoke or saw one another. Kathy was a loving, kind and extremely compassionate friend who will be forever missed. Words can never express how deeply sorry I am to hear of her untimely passing. Stay strong and know that you have family and many friends who are there for you.
