Kelsey was born on August 13, 1937, in Grande Prairie, Alberta to Florence and Gordon Bishop. He owned Bishop Trucking for many years and eventually moved after to jobs to Alberta Transportation and Utilities. He loved building highways.

Kelsey was a Jack of all trades and master of all; he enjoyed tinkering around the house and in his garage. He also enjoyed nature, including exploring the outdoors and spending time with dogs. He will be remembered for his quick wit, feistiness, and perfectly timed humour.

Kelsey was predeceased by his first wife Inga, his parents, his son Brian (Cindy, Kyra, Cody), his sister Nancy, and his brother John.

He is survived by his wife Alice, his daughters Terry (Jim, Melissa , Tim, Jenny and Matt), Shelley (Spencer, Logan, Austin, Jordana), and Aileen (Maurice), his sister Joan, and many great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bandaged Paws or In the Woods Animal Rescue.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave, Grande Prairie).

Interment will take place after the luncheon, at 1:00 pm at the Grande Prairie Cemetery.
