Obituary For Lambert Van Dongen

Lambert Van Dongen, resident of Clairmont, AB, formerly of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Prairie Lake Senior Community in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 67 years.

Lambert was born to Mary and Joe Van Dongen on June 6, 1953. He grew up in Crossfield, AB. He then became the owner of two video stores. Soon after he met Andrea and got married in 1990. They had two children, Jennifer and Christopher. In 1996, they moved to Valleyview, AB, where he pursued his goals of becoming a farmer and raising his family. Twenty years later, Lambert and Andrea moved to Clairmont to happily retire.

He was quick-witted and had impressive sarcasm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing every chance he got. Lambert loved being outdoors and all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Andrea; daughter Jennifer (Kevin) Simpkins; son Christopher (Sydni) Van Dongen; grandsons Lincoln and Coen; sisters Jo-Ann (Alfred) Dumont and Sandy Van Dongen, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Lambert was predeceased by his parents Mary and Joe Van Dongen, sister and brother in-law Louise and Larry May, and nephew Jeffery Dumont.

    I'm so sad to hear about Lambert's passing, he was quite the guy and I always enjoyed his quick comebacks and sense of humor. Thinking of you all during this very difficult time and hoping you find some comfort in knowing that others truly care.
