Obituary For Lance Wanyandie

Lance Daniel Wanyandie, resident of Wanyandie Flats, Grande Cache, AB, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at West Wanyandie Flats at the age of 29 years.

Lance was born and raised in Grande Cache on July 3, 1988. He lived and worked in the Rocky Mountains. He loved trapping, outfitting and hunting. He spent his days living life to the fullest, and loved going on adventures with his cousins and grandpa.

Lance was always laughing and telling funny stories. He had the best memory and could recall the funniest stories. He loved his horse Kakwa and riding in the mountains.

He will be sadly missed by his grandfather Tom Wanyandie, siblings: Dale Belcourt, Elvina Belcourt, Travis Belcourt and Brendan Wanyandie his aunts: Emily Bequette-Wanyandie, Chehala Leonard, Robin Kelley-Lloyd, Gladys Bennett-Wanyandie, Carol Wanyandie, Vicky Wanyandie and his uncle Robert Wanyandie; his cousins who were like brothers to him: Lane Bequette-Wanyandie, Douglas Bequette-Wanyandie and Clint Bequette-Wanyandie. He will also be missed by his huge extended family including many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his beloved mother Maryann Wanyandie-Belcourt, and his uncles Bill Wanyandie, Glen Wanyandie and James Wanyandie.

The Wake will be begin on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 6:00pm at Eagles Nest Hall in Grande Cache.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Grande Cache (10734 Shand Ave.).

Following the interment a reception will follow at 2pm at the Metis Local Hall
