Obituary For Laura Jean Beswick-Arthur (nee Hinkle)

It is with great sadness that Laura's family announces her sudden passing, in Grande Prairie, AB, on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the age of 40 years.

Laura was born to Dennis and Vivian in Stettler, AB, much to the excitement of her older sisters Cheryl and Karen. She grew up on the family farm in Botha, AB, and attended school in both Botha and Stettler.

Following graduation, Laura moved to Grande Prairie, AB, and began a career supporting people with disabilities. This career expanded to include the cities of Red Deer, AB, and Camrose, AB. Following her father's passing in 2008, Laura returned to Grande Prairie to continue with work with ASLS.

In 2010, Laura met her soulmate and love of her life, Tim. After a brief stint in the insurance industry where she began working as an Insurance Broker, she began working with Tim at Brandt Tractor, and sincerely loved her career and colleagues. She and Tim spent all their spare time camping with family and friends, traveling throughout Canada, the US, and Mexico, and completing household renovations. In 2016, surrounded by family and friends in Mexico, Laura and Tim were married in what can only be described as the most loving and joyful event ever!

Laura loved, and was deeply loved by all those who knew her. She was an amazing and incredible wife, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, friend, and colleague. She will be terribly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Laura is survived by her loving husband Tim; mother Vivian; sisters: Cheryl (Mike, Emily, Zachary, Elizabeth and Ben), and Karen (Steve, Courtney and Kyle); mother in-law Marian (Marshall); father in-law Richard (Marie); sisters in-law: Jen (Rob), and Adrienne (Devon, Mason, Ryker, Ellis, and Sylvie); brother in-law Simon (Gavin, Dylan, and Logan); her much adored pets Mittens and Max; and of course numerous family, friends and colleagues. Together we mourn her loss. Rest easy with the Angels dearest Laura.

Laura was predeceased by her father Dennis, and grandparents Lloyd and Betty Hart, and Vern and Violet Hinkle.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A Livestream of the service will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Laura’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 2:00pm, at the Stettler Funeral Home, in Stettler (4707 70 St.).

In lieu of a guestbook, Tim has asked that you please text a heartfelt message to Laura’s cell phone. Please be sure to include your full name in the message. The messages will be archived with the contents of her phone. Laura’s Cell Phone number 780-978-0849.

If so desired, Memorial Donations can be made to 3D Children's Society (3Dcharityhockey.com/contact/), or to the County of Stettler #6 Re: Woodlands Cemetery in Botha.
