Laureen Campbell nee Gault, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Hythe, AB, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in Grande Prairie, AB, after a brief battle with illness at the age of 63 years.

Laureen split the majority of her life living between Hythe, AB and Grande Prairie, AB.

Laureen adored her family and friends. She also adored her pets which included the dogs, the cat and the bunny. She enjoyed visiting her friends in person – no Facebook or texting for this semi-old-school lady. She did work hard to become a little bit techy so she could play blossom blast on her tablet.

Laureen will be missed and always fondly remembered by her children Lionel and Twyla; grandchildren Shackeena (Danny), Nevauda (Charity) and Kailor; sisters Marie and Cleo; brother Lyle, nieces and nephews (they know who they are), Vanessa, Marcine, Audrey, all of her friends and even her acquaintances. She was blessed to have so many people that cared so much for her.

Laureen’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all of those who gave so generously in her time of need. There are too many to name, but some really amazing people reached out during this time. Also a thank you to her workmates, a very extra special thanks to all of the staff at the Points West Hospice and to Dr. Armstrong and his assistant, all of whom were wonderful. Laureen was a very caring and kind individual, all of the reciprocation was heartwarming.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 21, 2017, at 11:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
