Laurelei Bowers passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at her residence in La Glace, AB, and will be dearly missed. She was a longtime resident of Bonnyville, AB.

Laurelei had a full life. She moved often, spending many years in Bonnyville and all over most of Alberta. Bonnyville is where Laurelei was married and raised her son. Laurelei also spent many years in the Yukon, where she raised her granddaughter, Meagan, whom she thought the world of. Laurelei stated many times that she "was Albertan by birth and a Yukoner by the grace of God". Laurelei then moved to Grande Prairie, AB to be closer to her granddaughter, and then eventually to La Glace.

Laurelei will forever be remembered for her strong work ethic, smart wit personality, and unwavering commitment to her family.

She leaves behind her son Sheldon Bowers, strong, kindred-spirited granddaughter Meagan Harris (Bowers), and her five amazing great-grandchildren: Connor, Corbin, Cale, Charlee and Ryatt.

Laurelei was predeceased by her sister Roseanne Fraser and her parents Jacob and Helen Knelson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2:00pm, at the Twilight Center, La Glace, AB.
