Obituary For Leah Anne Van Rootselaar

Leah Anne Van Rootselaar (nee Van Berkel), resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Enderby, BC, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the University of Alberta Hospital, at the age of 41 years.

Leah was born at the Salmon Arm Hospital on June 9, 1983. She was raised in Enderby, BC, where she completed her schooling at the A.L. Fortune Secondary School. Leah spent her youth playing ringette. She was able to do a number of jobs in her short life span, from being a nanny to managing a jewelry store to McDonald’s. Her greatest passion however was raising her own family.

Leah will be sadly missed by her loving husband Curtis Van Rootselaar; their children: Anton, Nico, Sarah and Ashley. Leah also leaves behind her parents: Hubert and Noni; brothers: Andrew (Amber), Colin (Emilié), Steven (Mandy); grandma Barb; father-in-law Bill; brother-in-law Shawn (Kori); Nicole; as well as nieces and nephews: Summer, Gwen, Logan, Callie, Amelia, Oliver, Tayler, Trace, Tori, Teagan, Grant, and Amelia.
