Obituary For Lee Schroeder

Lee Schroeder, resident of Rio Grande, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Hythe Continuing Care Centre at the age of 58 years.

Lee was born May 29, 1957 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan to Ralph and Marion Schroeder. He had a brother Robert, and a sister Nancy. They moved to Rio Grande, AB when Lee was 6 years old and he was raised there. He completed his Grade 12, and was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator.

Lee had a fun loving attitude and was very witty. He enjoyed his job, family, his horse “Buffy”, snowmobiling, quading, curling and playing cards, especially crib. He loved watching the snow roll off the blade of his tractor, working cows, and listening to loud rock music.

Lee raised two boys and loved his wife and all his grandkids dearly. He was known for his involvement with the 4H club with his boys and plowing snow with his Steiger Tractor.

Lee will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Louise, sons: Scott (Mandy) and Ryan (Erin); parents Ralph and Marion; brother Robert (Sandra); sister Nancy (Rob); grandchildren: Kegan, Lainey, Wyatt, Aiden, and Landon; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his grandparents: Nancy and Burl Barlow, and Margaret and Arthur Schroeder; as well as his wife’s parents Harold and Edna Attwood.

Celebration of Life for Lee Schroeder will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anglican Church Hall in Beaverlodge, AB (310 10th St.).

Memorial donations may be made to the Hythe Continuing Care Centre (Box 100, Hythe, AB, T0H 2C0).
