Obituary For Leo Stark

Peter Paul Leo Stark, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, at the age of 65 years.

Leo was born on January 13, 1955, in Oakbank, MB. At the age of 10, Leo moved to Nipawin, SK, where he would spend his youth. He married Penny on November 13, 1982, and then they had their only child Joshua on August 8, 1983. For years, Leo moved from job to job, city to city, before settling in Grande Prairie in 2003, where he was a taxi driver for years.

Leo was always up for a game of crib, or a discussion/argument about politics or religion, two of his favourite topics. He was always quick with advice or a kind word, even if you were a complete stranger. God became a much larger part of his life, and we have faith that he is in a better place.

He will be sadly missed by Penny; his son Josh; brother Eric (Katey); mother in-law Norma Barks; brothers in-law: Tim (Wanda), Rod (Cheryl) Ted, Randy (Tara), and Kerry (Janet); sisters in-law: Joanne (Fran), Trish (Rick), and Juanita (Dave); uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, step-brothers and step-sisters.

Leo was predeceased by his father Paul Stark; mother Sarah Stark; and his father in-law Dale Barks.

Memorial donations may be made to Rising Above Ministries (11007 106 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 2Z3).

I send you my sincere sympathy on the passing of Leo. I live next door to the place where Leo spent his first years. I remember helping him with his homework! My mom and his dad were cousins or second cousins. May you feel Godâ??s nearness in the coming days and find comfort. Grace
