Obituary For Lillian Bussiere Gaboury

Lillian went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 22, 2016, at the age of 84 years.

Lillian was born August 3, 1931 in Vonda, SK. She grew up on a farm in Spiritwood, SK. In 1955, she married Raymond Gaboury and moved to Grande Prairie. Together they raised 7 children. Her family was her true joy in life.

Lillian loved to bake - her buns and pies were a favorite! She loved to play games and spend time with her family! She also enjoyed berry picking and gardening!

She is survived by her 7 children: Doris (Bob) Sharko, (Darren, Travis, Jeremy, and Brennan); Marilyn (Leo) Buote, (Rachelle (Shane) Wanotch, Justin (Emily), Andrew (Sabrina) and Noella); Dwayne (Peggy) Gaboury, (Mark (Janet), Becca (Jeff) Moodie, Ryan, Jason, Sandi (Robbie), and Kelly); Sharon (Gene) Seidler, (Jamie, Robin (Brian) LeCerf, Scott, Kelsey (Mike) Rinke, and Kirby); Linda (Chuck) Duby, (April Kirkham, Brandis (Kael) Short, Jasmyn (Dax), and Jadon); Dale (Melodie) Gaboury (Amber and Bradley); and Tracy (Todd) Schwartz, (Titus, Saraya, Caylin, and Koen); 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Aurore Kerkes, Irene Pheneuf, Julie Godin and Angie Kopera; as well as numerous other family members.

Lillian was predeceased in July 2008 by her husband Raymond after 53 years of marriage; her parents Jean-Baptiste and Leona Bussiere; her sister Doris Bussiere and her brother Robert Bussiere; her father in-law Edmond Gaboury and mother in-law Delia Gaboury.

Prayers will be held Friday, February 26, 2016, at 7:30pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave).

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 2:00pm, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).

Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke of Alberta (Unit 109, 10126 120 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8H9) or to The Lung Association, Alberta and NWT Division (PO Box 4500 Stn South, Edmonton, AB, T6E 6K2).
