Lillian Hamilton, resident of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Beaverlodge Hospital, at the age of 89 years.

Lillian was born in Pendryl, AB, on May 31, 1931, to Pauline and Edward Trarback. She was the youngest of nine siblings.

Lillian met and fell in love with Ralph Hamilton when he passed her on the road while she was riding her horse. Ralph honked his horn, causing Lillian to get bucked off, and the horse, in turn, ran away, leaving her stranded. This allowed Ralph to give her a ride home, and their future together began.

She loved spending time with family, and she enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, farming, and hunting with her sons. She loved cooking amazing meals for family and friends, as well as for the harvesting crews. One thing for sure, you never left her house hungry, and fresh baking was always available. Her other favourite pastime was playing cards.

Lillian will be sadly missed by her children: Cheryl (Cam) Ness, Terry (Myrna) Hamilton, and Allan (Anna) Hamilton; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister in-law Anne Trarback; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Ralph; parents Pauline and Edward Trarback; sisters: Martha, Alice and Elsie; brothers: Henry, Adolph, William, Helmut and Donald; baby boy Hamilton; daughter Heather; and son David (Wannetta)

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
