Obituary For Linda Edith Ann Budgell (nee MacIntyre)

Our beloved Linda Edith Ann Budgell passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, safely in the arms of her devoted husband, Bruce. Born on October 9, 1962, her life was a journey marked by extraordinary resilience, love, and unwavering faith.

Throughout her life, Linda found deep meaning in the quiet defiance of bumblebees. According to science, their wings are too small to carry their weight – they shouldn’t be able to fly. And yet, they do. She saw herself in them. Against odds, expectations, and limitations, she kept going. Like the bumblebee, Linda moved through life with quiet strength, determination, and grace all her own. She cherished those tiny creatures not just for their charm, but for the truth they symbolized: that faith, courage, and spirit can lift us beyond what the world says is possible.

Linda was a proud woman of faith who loved Jesus with her whole heart. Her church families – too many and too far reaching to name – brought her joy, connection, and a deep sense of purpose across every place she called home.

Professionally, she served as a Registered Nurse, but her greatest calling was within her family as a devoted wife and loving mother of two daughters, Victoria and Alexandra.

One of her greatest joys in recent years was becoming “Granny Bee” to her cherished grandson, Coleman. Though only 18 months old, he was an answer to her prayers, and she treasured every moment with him- from the earliest days of pregnancy to her final breath. Their bond was pure and profound, a light in her life that glowed brightly and without end.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and unshakeable faith. And like the bumblebees she held so dear, Linda reminds us all to keep flying - no matter what the world says is possible.

Our family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of Whitecourt. Funds donated will go directly to the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre for future equipment purchases. http://mycharityfund.ca/charity/28301/friends-of-whitecourt
