Lloyd Alfred Amundson, resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Prairie Lake Hospice in Grande Prairie, at the age of 80 years.

Lloyd was born in Lacombe, Alberta, on August 1, 1943, to Melvina and Alfred Amundson. He was raised on the family farm in Peoria, Alberta. They welcomed their daughter Sherri in 1968, and son Darrel in 1970. In 1975, they moved to Nelson, British Columbia, to become owner and operators of a restaurant. After a time, the family moved back to Grande Prairie in 1986.

Lloyd loved working with wood, building tables, chairs and picture frames. He was known for always being willing to lend a helpful hand. Some of his passions were watching baseball, camping, and hunting. He also loved playing baseball and curling.
