Obituary For Lois Martin Hill

On Thursday, September 24, 2015, Lois Hill, longtime resident of Beaverlodge, passed away at the Beaverlodge Hospital at the age of 92 years.

Lois was born on October 24, 1922 and was delivered by a housewife in the Martin log house.

They had many good years on the farm and in 1971 they sold it and moved into Beaverlodge. She worked at IGA and was a member of I.O.D.E. and UCW; volunteered at the campsite and thrift shop; she was active on the golf course until she was 84 years old and loved all sports.

Lois was predeceased by her husband Tom, two infant sons Vernon Douglas and Alan Roy; five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children: Thomas (Mary) of Beaverlodge, Edna of Grande Prairie, and Greg (Jody) of Calgary; grandchildren: Marcy, Ashley, Faryn, Angela and Diana; great-grandchildren: Clayton, Abby and Sawyer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11:00am at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Memorial donations may be made to the Beaverlodge Hospital Foundation (P.O. Box 480 Beaverlodge, AB T0H 0C0).
