Obituary For Lorraine Splett Koch

Lorraine Koch, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Edmonton, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 63 years.

Lorraine was born March 25, 1957 in Edmonton, AB, where she also finished high school. She completed a Travel and Tourism course at Grande Prairie Regional College. She worked for 15 years with Northern Cable.

She was a caring, outspoken person with a great sense of humour. She loved her shoes, golfing, and socializing. She looked forward to meeting the girls Saturday morning, and enjoyed camping, fishing in her pontoon boat. She was also a great cook. Lorraine really loved her granddaughter.

Lorraine will be sadly missed by her husband John, daughter Michelle, granddaughter Samantha, mother Kathy Meyers, and brother Len Splett.

She was predeceased by her father Lorne and her sister Elaine.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A service will be held at on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 1:00pm, at Pat Duncan’s Acreage in Willowood Estates (https://goo.gl/maps/cWuvr2AevVSg1dep8) (Head south on Highway 40 towards 68 Ave. Turn left on 68 Ave. Head east for 5.2 km. Turn Right. Drive 1 block. Turn Right. It is the second place on your right.).

Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke of Alberta (144, 5241 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton, AB, T6H 5G8).

    Very sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed the adventures in Hawaii and other trips we shared over the years. I remember us all laughing and having fun enjoying our misadventures. I hope those and other wonderful memories you have of Lorraine offer some comfort for you both at this difficult time.
