Lyla Joan Toews, resident of Falher, AB, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, in Falher, at the age of 43 years.

Lyla was born on August 7, 1978 as Samantha Soto, and at 8 month old she was adopted by the Toews family in the Silver Valley, AB, area and her name changed to Lyla Toews at age tweleve. Lyla resided in Silver Valley until her early teens.

She was very kind and loving to all, happy-go-lucky- spirit, and had many friends who loved her.

Lyla loved all things outdoors, including flowers, gardening, camping, animals, and nature in general.

Lyla will be sadly missed by her partner Dave Kulicki; brothers Kim and Kevin; sisters: Velma, Claudette, Theresa; adoptive siblings: Dawn, Staphene, Becky, Ronnie, and Veronica; her adoptive parents Joe and Charlotte Toews; as well as her loving dog Teako.

Lyla was predeceased by her birth parents Martha Soto and Samson Redhead.
