Lynne was an Honor to Grande Prairie. My heart truly grieves that she has died. My first memory of Lynne was of course at a party, and became friends. We went on to become involved with theatre! Mememorably we marched from second street theatre to the legion where I think Jim's father married them, a long string of actors, carpenters, painters followed the parade! They have 3 exceptional children with an ever growing number of grandchildren, the dynasty continues. Lynne's career continued thro' the cbc, various more modest productions about the city, promos for productions and of course the Stompede of with which her husband was involved. She edited and typed Jim's many manuscripts. Eventually at the GPRC where she embedded herself. Inlater years Lynne became a regular visitor to the weekly held bridge bunker ever winter Thursday, much chat, gossip, food and some bridge was enjoyed. Lynne was a friend whom I will never be able to forget, I will never want to forget. As Lynne said in her very last missive to me 'see you on the other side...'

My condolences on the passing of Lynne. I was lucky enough to get to know her and Jim while doing summer children's theatre at the GPRC. Wonderful person and a true loss.

End of an era for me. I met Lynne on my first day of work at GPRC in 2006, she was a mentor, friend, over the years we shared recipes, book and movie suggestions. Stories about her grand children and my nieces and nephews. After her retirement brief relocations for both of us took place but we always stayed in touch. We both returned to the peace region (god's country 😆) and continued to enjoy coffee visits. 55a reopened !! I have so many memories of Lynne, her guidance through some tough times. Her encouragement at work and her support of my ideas and most recently quilting endeavours. Enjoying live music at GPLT, meeting up in Beaverlodge and at the grande prairie art gallery to enjoy exhibits. Many people think that Grande Prairie and area is nothing but oil, pick up trucks - it's more than that. It's a rich tapestry of history, culture, and people are what make it all happen. Meeting Lynne enriched my life on so many levels - she was my friend and I am devastated. I will miss her, but never forget her. Pleas Lynne don't edit this 😘 Megan

Careers and places can give us accomplishment and success. But some people we meet along the way are the grace of life. Lynne was one those people. Always warmhearted and welcoming, I still remember vividly her first backyard party invitation, and the pleasure of that evening. I have thought of Lynne often since hearing she is no longer with us. I was lucky enough to call Lynne a friend. We were both part of a long running book club that we all called the best book club of all times. We all have memories of what a smart, interesting, kind, warm and fun person Lynne was, with all of us having a connection and bond that will be with us forever. Book club night at Lynnes house was always such a warm, cozy night, delicious food, thoughtful conversations and never ending laughs. Her character was of honesty, trustworthiness, reliability and respect of all. I loved being invited to their back yard. It was always a fun time! She is one of the favorite people I have ever known and it hurts my heart that she is gone. I learned so much from this beautiful human. Condolences to her family she loved so much and the many friends and family lucky enough to know and be part of her life. Delaine Haugen
