Lynne (Linda) Costley-La Rocque, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Fairview, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 69 years.

Lynne Dewar was born July 30, 1949 in Calgary, AB. She was raised in Fairview. She married Victor Costley on February 14, 1970. In 2004, she met Russell La Rocque whom she later married.

Lynne was a strong advocate for kids. She was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to fish and spend time outdoors. She enjoyed painting, cake decorating, knitting, sewing, and horsemanship.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Russell La Rocque; children: Scott (Sandra) Costley, Nitza (Rod) Bean, Lisa (Brian) Harvey, John (Tina) Costley, Erin Costley; grandchildren: Jessica, Emma, Kyla, Chelsey, Paige, Austin, Jadzia, Kevin, Keshia, Alexis, and Heather; great-grandchildren: Desari and Caleb; sister Penny Dewar Lorencz; brother Les Dewar; as well as nieces and nephews.

Lynne was predeceased by her father Duncan Dewar, mother Gladys Dewar, and brother Reg.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.),
