Obituary For Mabel Bertha Tissington (nee Bradley)
Mabel Tissington was born on July 21, 1929, at Johanna Hakstaad’s maternity home in Sexsmith, AB. Mabel passed away at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 94 years, after a brief battle with heart failure.
Mabel lived her life with great tenacity. She had many adventures and entrepreneurial experiences in her 94 years, working right up to the age of 76 years.
She is survived by her son Terry (Jo-Ann); granddaughter Kristi; niece Joan (Charlie); as well as many extended family, cousins and special friends from her years at Wild Rose Villas.
The family would like to thank Grande Prairie Home Care nurses, especially Robin, Mandy, and Dalaney for their compassion and considerate care. We are also thankful for the care she received at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital in the last week.
At Mabel’s request, no service will be held, a family memorial will take place in the spring at Lake Saskatoon Cemetery.
