Obituary For Margaret Estella Bildson
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Estella Bildson bids her farewell...for now. Margaret left this world behind on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, surrounded by her family in an atmosphere of love.
No ordinary woman, Margaret had to fight from the day she entered the world on January 1, New Year’s Day, 1937. Although weighing in at under 3 pounds she survived, thanks to the tireless efforts of her beloved mother, and the warming oven on the wood stove that served as her incubator. Margaret grew into a beautiful self-confident woman. At the age of 17, she met the love of her life, Aubrey Bildson, at the skating rink, although she didn't know it at the time. Aubrey prevailed and their 63 year marriage survived the ups and downs of life right up until the day of her passing, with her beloved Aubrey and family at her side. Together they brought four children into the world, which resulted in ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandkids, and the recently arrived great great-grandson Xavier.
Margaret was much more than a wife and mother. Over the years, her intelligence and business acumen facilitated her successful careers in banking and business with her and husband Aubrey’s final efforts going towards helping start up the family business, Prime Property Management.
Margaret was confident and assured and held her own in any situation. Woe to any man who tried to patronize her! Fiercely protective towards her Aubrey and extended family, she was loved by all whose lives she touched. Too generous and quick to give gifts … we are sure the flags at the Home Shopping Network are flying at half-mast in Margaret's memory.
If our love is any measure of her legacy then she will be remembered forever. Ever the consummate organizer, Margaret has gone first to make sure everything is in order for those who follow. She leaves behind in Ontario her sister and confidant Mona Clark (Doug), and beloved “baby” brother Reverend John Hyland (Donna).
Farewell Maggie and God’s speed on your journey home - Love Aubrey, Bonnie and Randy, Brian and Deana, Lori May, Kathleen and Cris, Jennifer and Taylor, Jason and Leah, Melissa and Brian, Jennifer and Pierce, Kaylan and Brent, Olivia and John, Wade, Jada and Kevin, Aiden, Nyla, Sophie, Linden, Kathryn, Aubrey, Estella, Raegan, Bronson, Oliver, Joel, and Xavier.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

So sorry that we can't be with you at Margaret's 'Celebration of Life & Going to be with Jesus' due to a wedding we're involved in of our niece in Brandon, MB. We count it a privilege to know you all and to especially have been able to get together with you Aubrey, & Margaret, on a fairly regular basis since our time together in Hay River in the early 70's! We were especially blessed, Aubrey, to spend this past Saturday afternoon with you and to reminisce together about your wonderful wife Margaret, how God brought you together, and the love He gave each of you for each other over the past 63+ years. God has blessed & filled your quiver, Aubrey, with wonderful children & grandchildren / great grandchild as you expressed so well on Saturday. It was indeed a joy to see Lori-May again after 40 years (wow) and to meet her beautiful daughter Olivia briefly. We wish we could have been with you all on Wednesday, to reacquaint, and to meet your families... but we know we'll enjoy that pleasure as we come together again with your wife / mom / grandma again in our real home in heaven with King Jesus... What a day that will be!!! Thank-you, Aubrey, for your continued love & friendship... and yes, all those jokes you've supplied... over the years!!! But even more than that, Thank-you for opening up your family, especially to me (Gord) in Hay River in those years from 1973 - 1977... You were always there to listen and were always a support both to myself and to Ruth! May our amazing, grace-bestowing Lord & Saviour grant each of you with "a peace that passes all understanding" in knowing that someday soon, all of us who know & love Jesus will be with Margaret forever in heaven. May God fill you with his peace, his comfort, and his joy during these difficult days when Margaret has graduated to her final home for eternity!!! PS. Aubrey gave us your mom's / grandma's coin jar, which she wanted to go to a worthy 'Sunday School' project. The $150.00 will go through the Yarrow Allianc

It is with such sadness we learned of Margaret's passing. We have such fond memories of her from our Hay River days. She was such a generous, kind, thoughtful woman, she made many trips to our home with gifts for our girls. We still have the toy-box she bought them. Our grand-children enjoy it now. We are sure she will be so very missed by her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. With love, Jan and Lynn Gustafsson.

My dear Sister Margaret was named after our Mother's Mother, Margaret Riddell/Hanson who passed in 1948. She has gone to join her Sisters Alma and Shirley, Brothers David, Garfield and Maurice who she loved and cherished all the years of her life. She leaves behind her Brother John and Sister Mona who are not able to travel to Grande Prairie for her Memorial Service. "Maggie" as I called her all my life will be missed every day until I cross to the other side and join the rest who sleep for now "In Jesus". The years together were kind to us as a gift from our Heavenly Father and we have so many memories to cherish until we meet again. Our Loving thoughtful prayers are with the Family who will gather to say farewell on Wednesday..Rest safely in the arms of Jesus "Maggie" in the twinkling of an eye will see you again. Your little Brother "Diz"
