Obituary For Marion Wanke
Marion Wanke, resident of Spirit River, formerly of Rycroft passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Central Peace Hospital, at the age of 77 years.
Mom was born in Biggar, SK, the third daughter of Alexander and Joan Hutcheon. Mom grew up in many places: Rosetown, SK, Cadomin, AB and Richmond, BC. She liked to crochet, knit, read, garden and play board games with her friends from the Lodge. She also enjoyed the time she got to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will sadly be missed by her husband Ernest Wanke; children: Bob, Heather, Jim (Doris), Jackie (Ralph Knells), and Tony (Cindy); grandchildren: Trevor Wintringham, Ashly (Bobbi), Sarah, Kandace (Jesse) Dunning, Brandon (Brianna), Doug (Jackie), Nick (Lisa), Dustin (Sherida), Katryna Knells, Tyler Knells, Jorden (Amber) and Kayla; great-grandchildren: Maddison, Hunter, Gage Dunning, Vaughn Dunning, Brooklynne, Aiden, Riley, Shanley, Zoe, Owen, Hannah, Alexis and Shay. She will also be missed by her sisters: Peggy and Inamae; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her father Alex, mother Joan and brother George.
At Mom’s request, no service will be held, she will be cremated and, together, the family will celebrate her life.
