After 10 years, she transferred to Ottawa where she worked for 7 years, then back to Penticton. She retired from the Penticton office in 1981 and had resided in Penticton since that time.

Marjorie was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club for more than 30 years. She was also a member of the Penticton Golf & Country Club for many years, where she spent many happy times with friends. She was a member of the Penticton United Church.

She is survived by her sister Lorna of Edmonton; special nephews: Mitchell, David (Leore), Dean (Darlene) and Barry of Edmonton; great-nephews: Kevin (Monique) and Trevor (Brandi); as well as great great-nephews and nieces. Also surviving her are cousins Audrey (Bert) and Norah of Manitoba.
