Cindy, Cathy and families: there are no words to tell you what influence your mom had on me. It has been months since I stopped to see her. However every time I entered the GPCC to see my Mom, my thoughts & prayers went down the hall to Marlene. Just as I prayed for her, so did I for you - for strength and peace somehow in this long struggle. A photo of your mom & dad is on my fridge along with our grandchildrens' artwork. Sincere condolences, corinne cowan

My heartfelt condolences to Kathy and Cindy and their families. Glenn and Marlene were good people and their house was always open to my mother and myself and my brothers. I am unable to attend the memorial due to illness but I send all my condolences to you.

This is a mixture of emotions, of sadness and joy, of memories distant and the nearness of today. The family first mentored our eldest daughter Hilary, then Marlene mentored Lois. Glen would talk to me in the parking lot as we put out the garbage telling my deaf ears of a life with Jesus. In 1976 Christ became fully present in our lives and we were invited to participate in Bible Study with two generous souls. Those long nights deep in the word instilled in us the strong foundation we have today. We loved their patience with our questions. I keep that old Bible with all its "Paulson" scribblings and Lois still refers to her little notebook from these evenings. There were times that Marlene's Dad joined us too. And always in our minds is the diligence the family had in picking up our daughters each Sunday morning when the church was far from my mind. Marlene and Glen lived for Christ and for that we are eternally grateful in the way they equipped us for service in different parts of the world. May they be ever thrilled in the place that He prepares for us. -- Graeme and Lois.
