Marrian Ruth Smith (nee Simmons) of St. Thomas, Ontario and previously of Goodfare, Alberta passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at STEGH in her 91^st year, with her loving family by her side. Born November 27, 1925 in Springfield, Ontario. Marrian will be dearly missed by her husband, Glen Smith of Shuswap, British Columbia. Deeply loved by her children Kathryn Webber, David Webber (Anne Dwyre) all of St. Thomas, and Bridgette (Donnell) Waid of North Carolina. Loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jean Webber of St. Thomas. Predeceased by her parents, Erie and Ilo Simmons; her daughter Pricilla Goldner; her husband Morley “Sam” Grant; her sisters Violet, Vera, Velma, and Dorothy; and her brothers Gerald and Harold. Marrian was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Thomas. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 11:00am -1:00pm where the funeral service will take place in the chapel at 1:00pm.
