Obituary For Martin John Cook

Martin John Cook was born June 15, 1963, in Beaverlodge, AB, and passed away suddenly on Monday, October 21, 2024 in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 61 years.

He was predeceased by his parents Vivien and Irvina Cook, stepsiblings Zane, Bruce, Dale and Randi Parker and nephews Colby Parker and Rodney Evans.

He is survived by sisters Susan Bradshaw and Joy Cook; and stepsister Ruth Allan; as well as many nieces and nephews

He made his living driving big trucks, but also enjoyed helping out with farming and found entertainment in many outdoor activities such as quading and snowmobiling.

In his early 50’s Martin’s life changed significantly when he experienced a brain aneurism. After a time, he moved into the Hythe Pioneer home. As a result of his brain injury, he could not sit still for long, but managed to keep busy by driving people to appointments or making rounds to the many friends and acquaintances he maintained. He took great pleasure in still being able to help people.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at the Hythe Legion (9818 100 Ave.) Hythe, AB.
