Obituary For Marvin Schlamp

Marvin Schlamp, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the age of 70 years.

Marvin was born on January 31, 1948 to William and Phyllis Schlamp. He lived most of his life in Grande Prairie and area. He worked for Canfor for 40 years.

He leaves behind his two daughters: Shana (James) Hill, and Leah (Shawn) Schlamp; nine grandchildren: Joy (Steven) Reid, Kirk (Tiffany) Schlamp, Shaylee (Trent) Roth, Jesse Roth, and Kassie Hill; five great-grandchildren: Shelby Reid, Emerson Reid, Dean Rycroft, Henry Rycroft, and Azlind Schlamp; siblings: Lucille (Larry) Oppen, Norma Hemmbrlig, Marilynn (Albert) Lechelt, Lorraine (Bill) Worth, Alvin (Debbie) Schlamp, and Myrna Schlamp; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife Joy (nee Schoepp) in 1980, and his third wife Joanne (nee Roth) in 2018.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). A Viewing will be held prior at 1:30pm. Luncheon to follow.

Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke of Alberta (Unit 109, 10126 120 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8H9).

    TO SHANA and family,LEAH and family also everyone.ITS my deepest sympathy for loss of father grampa and great grampa.Words can not explain the sorrow at this time.As yes older brother,also only 2 of us boys in the family.I"M so glad last few years we had spent when he stay over till he had to quit driving.But our telephone conversations would be great to talk,when ever I would get done traveling I would call or call before I left. As i know there is a brighter star in the sky that out shines in the sky.Its hard to say good bye but hes gone to a better place where there is no more pain and suffering.Where he will be welcomed with open arms and relatives of long ago he will meet.SHANA and Leah its hard to say good bye.But the smiles when he sees joy.HE may be gone but never forgotten as he will always be in our hearts.I"m sorry I cant make the trip as Advised account of health issues that I have and would long to see him for last time.But I know someday we will meet again and wow what a reuion.Take care all of you as all of you and Marvin will always be in my heart never forgotten.Uncle codylee,Auntie Billy-Jeen Justin,cousin sherry marie,second cousins Klya hope and sheldon
