Obituary For Mary Ann Hofer

Mary Hofer, born June 16, 1965, passed away peacefully after her long, courageous battle with cancer, at home on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the age of 52 years.

Mary was born in Stettler, AB to Peter and Katie Hofer. When she was 22 years old, she married the love of her life, Mike Hofer and moved to Grandview Colony.

Before her battle with cancer, Mary really enjoyed her job as kindergarten teacher; and her granddaughter Hadassah was the joy of her life.

She was well known for her service to others, always lending a hand wherever she was able. Even if it was just making one of her delicious lemon pies to make someone feel special, she went to the extra length. Her example of kindness will be something we will always remember.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband Mike Hofer; daughters: Delilah (Joshua) of Viking, AB, and Jenny of Grandview; granddaughter Hadassah of Viking, AB; mother P. Katie of Silver Creek; brothers: Cash (Annie) and Eli (Evelyna) of Silver Creek; sisters: Matilda (Dan) of Deerfield, MT, Rachel (John) of Jumbo Valley, Sarah (Mike) of Fairview, AB, Susan (Tim) of Spring Creek, MT, Barbara (Ben) of Donalda, AB, and Eleanora (Ed) of Silver Creek; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her father Peter Hofer of Silver Creek, and her in-laws Jacob and Annie Hofer of Grandview.

Thank you to the Cancer Clinic, Dr. Pope, his nurse Donna, Nurse Linsey, and to everyone else involved in Mary’s care.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00am at Grandview Colony. Burial to follow at the Colony Cemetery.

May she rest in peace.
