Mary's notepads were famous at Crystal Park School. I am not sure when she started doing them but I was the school secretary there from 2016-2021 and she had a box in the photocopy room that she would walk over to collect the discarded paper and would bring them back as notepads. Everyone loved and used these notepads. There were cupboards full of them! I would get calls from old CPS staff members who worked elsewhere requesting I send over a stack of notepads for them. I would email our CPS staff and say please remember to put paper in the box for Mary's notepads and people would respond with how much they appreciated those little notepads. Every time Mary came in, we would chat and she was just the sweetest lady. I'm sure there's still plenty of her notepads around the school division and probably even in the cupboards at Crystal Park. Rest in peace, Mary. Condolences to her family and friends.

I only have wonderful memories of this sweet lady. As a boy I spent so much time at her home playing very loudly at times with my best friend, her youngest son Brian but she was always so gracious and forgiving of the noise. Throughout all of these years we've kept in touch, she attended my wedding and both of my parents funerals. When I moved to Edmonton I would stop in to visit when I was back in Grande Prairie and she would always send me back with a bucket of homemade cookies. Such a wonderful and kind friend who will be greatly missed.

I will miss attending the Annual GPPSD Board Social with my special friend, Mary but I know that she's happy to be in her Heavenly Home forever! Diane💕💕
