Obituary For Maxine Anne Stith Wold

Maxine Anne Wold, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Hythe, AB, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 68 years.

Maxine was born in Hythe, AB on August 18, 1951. She grew up working the family farm and attended Hythe School until moving to Grande Prairie for secretarial and accounting school at Grande Prairie Regional College. She married Larry Wold on September 5, 1969 and had three children: Amber, Michael, and Darla.

Maxine enjoyed puttering around the family cabin at One Island Lake, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and friends.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Larry Wold; children: Amber Wold, Michael Wold, and Darla (Travis) Wold; and grandchildren: Taylor Wold, Hanna Wold, KD Anderson, Jade Moulton-Walsh, Ethan Wold, Eli Cramer, and Ava Moulton-Wold.

Maxine was predeceased by her father Oscar Stith, mother Opal Stith, sister Karen Wagner, brother Glen Stith, father in-law Lennie Wold, and mother in-law Helen Wold.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Viewing will be held prior at 12:00pm. Interment will follow luncheon at Hythe Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke of Alberta (144, 5241 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton, AB, T6H 5G8).

    Dear Larry and family, I was saddened to hear of Maxineâ??s sudden passing. I can only imagine what a shock this has been for all of you and a great loss of a wonderful wife, Mom, and Grandma. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
