Obituary For Melanie Foster Oram

Melanie Oram nee Foster, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Tumbler Ridge, BC, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at home, at the age of 43 years. She went to sleep and never woke up.

She was born on November 30, 1973 in Weyburn, SK and was raised in Northern BC. She graduated from TRSS in Tumbler Ridge, BC in 1991. She loved everyone, family, friend or foe, and was always there to help out someone in need. She had a huge heart of gold and a smile that would brighten the darkest of days. She was fiercely protective of anyone she loved and would do anything in her power to make sure you were happy.

She could often be found coloring and had a real knack for nail art. A little known fact was that she could probably knit you anything you could imagine.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Kyrstyn Oram (Steve Osborn) of Grande Prairie, AB; her unborn granddaughter Teagan whose arrival she missed by mere days/weeks; parents Rick and Betty Foster of Granisle, BC; sister Cindy (Darren) Cota of Kamloops, BC as well as Uncles, Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.

She was predeceased by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, Uncles and Aunts on both sides, and, especially at her young age, way too many friends!

She was cremated in Grande Prairie, AB and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Tumbler Ridge, BC at the discretion of the family.

Hell'o Rick, Betty and Cindy (and families) we were so saddened to hear of Melanies passing. Our thoughts are with you all, as we remember that beautiful smiling little girl who lived across the street from us in Dawson Creek. We just wanted you to know we are feeling for you - and you are in our thoughts - and with Cindy (she phoned us with the terrible news) who we see here from time to time. Cindy has such a beautiful smile and personality, as did her little sister. We will think of you with our regards and condolences, Ron and Susan Durant
