We spent time on the river, visiting and playing cards at our home and our cabin. We knew if Mel or Hazel were on the same Committee in Elks or the Legion with you, things would get done . Every once in awhile Mel and Hazel would drive up and we would have a good visit. We were the recipients of gifts made by Mels artistic hands and many laughs were shared by us. We treasure and have kept them all. Mel sometimes came across as gruff but he was really a softie underneath. We were glad to see Mel and Mary when they visited us in Yuma. If we travelled back to GP we made a point of having one visit or meal together. RIP. Mel, say hi to Hazel for us. Thanks For your friendship. Wayne and Alvina Grove and family
