Obituary For Michael Aden Nelson
Michael Aden Nelson passed away peacefully at 5:00am, on Saturday, January 5, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.
Michael was born April 17, 1959. He lived in Grande Prairie for the last 53 years.
Mike was an exceptional and very talented salesperson/manager of car sales in Grande Prairie. He worked with Doug Marshall for many years.
He loved all sports. His favourite was hockey, and he always cheered for the Edmonton Oilers. He loved to play basketball, golf, ping pong, bowling, and baseball.
Although he did not follow his brother and sisters’ musical footsteps, he was a self-taught musician (guitar and piano). His favourite thing to do was to sit around the campfire with his guitar and his good buddy, Brendan Marcotte.
Mike loved to be around all those special get-togethers as a family. He had a great sense of humour and he was always more than willing to contribute.
Mike is survived by his father Gerald Dewey Nelson; mother Marion Vanette Nelson (nee Lefebvre); brother William “Billy” Byron Nelson and his 3 children: Jason, Ashlee and Taylor; sister Mary Jo Nelson and her 2 children: Eric and Kayla; sister Cathy Marie (Orest) Charko (nee Nelson); and sister Julianne Karr’s 3 children: Aaron, Jennifer and Jesse.
He was predeceased by his sister Julianne Karr (nee Nelson).
He will be very much missed by all of us!! We love you Mike!
