Obituary For Michael Sebastian
Michael Sebastian, resident of Wembley, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital at the age of 94 years.
Michael was born on May 31, 1927, in Punnichy, SK. He and his family moved to Lake Saskatoon, AB, when he was 2 years old. Michael grew up on the family farm and after high school, he taught school for a couple of years. Michael met Kathy Remple in 1949, and they were married on November 13, 1952. He had various jobs in Grande Prairie, but his passion was farming. He purchased a half section on Richmond Hill and farmed there until 1959 when he bought the family farm by Lake Saskatoon. He farmed there until his retirement and continued living on the farm until a week before his passing.
Michael was quiet but friendly. He loved woodworking and quading prior to his retirement; as well as fishing, camping, time with family, the game of hockey, and visiting the neighbors.
Michael will be sadly missed by his wife Katherine, children: Steve (Pat), Marty (Glenda), and Shelley, eight grandchildren, as well as twelve great-grandchildren.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, nine siblings, two sons, and one son in-law.
A Graveside Service for both Kathy and Michael will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 2:00pm, at Lake Saskatoon Cemetery. The family encourages you to wear a mask.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Town of Beaverlodge - Beaverlodge Health Complex (P.O Box 30, Beaverlodge, AB, T0H 0C0).

Uncle Mike was a kind and gentle man and always had time to show the city kids the sights and smells of the farm. It was clear how much he loved his land and his family.
