On Friday, January 1, 2016, Mike Kaytor lost his battle with cancer at the age of 81 years.

He was born and raised in the Peace Region, where he met and married Arlie Figgures and he was proud to call Grande Prairie home. He worked for many years at Canfor and loved to share stories of his time at the mill. Mike was known for his wonderful sense of humor and contagious smile.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years Arlie; their children Alan (Char) and Karen; his grandchildren Alyson (Brett), Sean (Jen) and Miranda; and great-grandchildren Olivia and Blaire. He is survived by his brothers Vince (Aline) and George (Ruby), and their families; sister in-law Mari (Tom) Sheehan and their family.

To respect Mike’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
