Obituary For Natasha Ann Barfett
Natasha Ann Barfett, resident of Wembley, formerly of Shoal Harbour, Newfoundland, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Points West Hospice, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 45 years.
Tash was born in Ontario, but moved to Newfoundland at the age of 1. She lived in Shoal Harbour until she moved to St. John’s for University to do Nursing. She moved to Grande Prairie in 1996 with Rex. They married in 1998. They moved to Wembley to raise a family with their two daughters: Taylor and Amber.
Tash loved being around her family and friends. Her children were her world. She was full of energy and always helped in every way. She always knew what to say. Her smile and laughter lit up every room, and her courage, strength and love have inspired us all. She will forever be in our hearts. She was loved by all who knew her.
Tash enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, and camping. She loved beaches and sunshine, but most of all, she loved her family.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Rex Barfett; children Taylor Barfett (age 17), and Amber Barfett (age 12); mother and father Paula and Ford Critch; parents in-law Ivy and Wes Barfett; as well as a huge circle of family and friends near and far.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 7:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
Memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation (16007 118 Ave., Edmonton, AB, T5V 1C7).

I offer my condolences to your entire family. Please know I am th always thinking of you Amber and Taylor as you remember all of the wonderful moments you shared with your Mom. She was a very speciall lady a nd I was blessed to have known her as a wonderful supportive parent to two beautiful girls! Your mom made a positive impact on so many lives as she volunteered throughout your grades, worked as an EA in the school, and will always be remembered as the person I was always so happy to see or talk with. She was a shing light and will always be remembered. I remember how her face would light up when she greeted you at the end of a school day or at an assembly . So much love to be in your heart and hold you forever and always😘

I drove by your house today . Reflected on all the sleepovers , the litres of chocolate chip ice cream we ate , the secrets we told , planning our apartment together , endless nights of scrabble and Yahtzee. While time and distance has separated us I have thought about you everyday during your illness . I am praying for your beautiful family at this time of sorrow . I cannot image the sadness in their hearts . Tash was a beautiful person that will missed but never forgotten . Rest In Peace my friend

So sad and shocked to hear of Natasha's passing. Sending prayers for daily comfort and strength to you and your family. I remember visiting Natasha's home (thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Critch) and spending time with her during elementary school. She was very special to me considering I didn't have many close friends. Being so shy, I didn't socialize well. Natasha took time for me! She was beautiful inside and out. I tried to reconnect after getting married and moving to South Korea, but I was not successful. Be assured that my prayers are with you. May precious memories keep you in the days ahead.

Dear Rex,Taylor, Amber and Angel. My heart breaks that you have to say goodbye to your beautiful wife and Momma to your children. I wish there was something I could say to lessen your pain and heartache. I can't imagine how you must feel. I know i will miss Tash so much and all our visit and text messages. I know her legacy lives on through her beautiful daughters. Rex she always shared how much she loved her family and how important you all were to her. The hours we would spend giggling about the joys of raising our girls and the trials and tribulations of doing this lol. The flowers and camping trips and the sunshine vocations we both enjoyed. She was always there with some good common sense answer or a giggle for things we just couldn't possibly fix. I know i am rambling on and I apologize lol. Her friendship a lot to me and those memories I will forever treasure. Take care of each other and be kind to one another as you grieve the loss of this beautiful lady. If you need anything at all please don't hesitate to call as I always told Tash I am only a phone call away my friends. With love your friend Verna
