It was a pleasure to know Neda for the few years we lived in Grande Prairie. My children have fond memories of helping her with her grocery shopping and we can't pass Ferrero Roche chocolates without thinking of her. She taught me a lot about gardening while I helped in her back yard and as she told me stories about her childhood. I think of her often as I'm in my own garden now. I wish I could have catalogued all her knowledge about this land, but like the proverb says: the death of an elder is the equivalent of a library burning to the ground. We will miss her.
