Obituary For Neil Andrew Rycroft

“Don’t let some hellbent heart leave you bitter

When you come close to sellin’ out, reconsider

Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance…

I hope you dance ‘’

While there were many songs suggestions and beer/chats over the years… alongside Neils requests, we’ve chosen some tunes and left the list open for anyone else who wants to contribute. Feel free to leave a link or song title to a tune of your choice, without needing coins for the jukebox and help us build a memorial playlist for Neil from us all

He loved his two children, he loved music and he loved to dance.

Along with music and horses, Neil also loved his dogs: Lonesome, Brindle and Brute to name a few.

Neil is survived by his longtime friend Jude, daughter Ali-Dale (Kelly Jussila), son Dalbert (Angie Bulhofner). Grandchildren; Kali-Rain (Jesse Webber), Baby Sophia, Lanuyah (Don Schoeneman), baby Berkley, Jamie and Kahlen Rycroft. And as well his siblings: Loraine, Greg, Jack and Jean.

His AA family, racetrack family, oil patch family and those alike.

Neil was predeceased by his parents, Danny (Robert Henry “Harry”) and Violet Rycroft (Rose Spry). His brother Bill, his mother and father-in-law Bill and Betty Sheridan (Sayer). His special friend Cheryl Campbell and as well many other relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers.

Neil’s ashes will be spread at various meaningful locations across Northern Alberta, including, but not limited to Mile Marker 13 Northern Alberta Railway, Emerson Trail Cemetery with his parents and alongside 100-year-old trees he named “Baby Steps and Little George” and also with “Learn to Get along”

In lieu of flowers…take a moment to dance.
