Obituary For Nella Leporato Magnone
Nella Magnone, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Savuto Di Cleto, Italy, stepped into eternity to join her husband Antonio and all her loved ones who have gone before her, on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in Grande Prairie at the age of 70 years.
Nella was born January 4, 1947. In 1970, she came to Canada and settled herself and her family in Grande Prairie.
Nella was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her time with family. Her door was always opened and she welcomed everyone in her home. She enjoyed gardening, baking, knitting, listening to her Italian music, and watching her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Maria Theriault (Terry), Sandra Caissie (Brent), Anita Thoben (Roy), Flora Croteau (Doug) and Antonio “Tony” Magnone (Nikki); grandchildren: Mario Rino, Saria Rino, Ethan Thoben, McKenna Thoben, Sierra Caissie, Alena Magnone and Natalya Magnone.
Nella was predeceased be her husband Antonio Magnone, her parents Giovanna and Carmine Leporato, and her sister Assunta Pucci.
Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 7:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 1:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.). Interment will follow the service at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (84 Ave. and 112 St.).
Memorial donations may be made to Grande Prairie Cancer Centre (c/o Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation (10409 98 St. Grande Prairie, AB T8V 2E8).
