Obituary For Nettie Rose Halerewich Lega

Nettie Rose Lega, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Grimshaw, AB, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Grande Prairie Care Centre, at the age of 65 years.

Rose was born August 27, 1953 in Berwyn, AB to John and Emily Halerewich. She grew up on a farm with many brothers and sisters. She worked in the food and hospitality industry and worked for PTI for a number of years as a camp cook.

Rose was a hard worker and very intelligent. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Thank you all for her care, as well as the support for Rose at GP Care Centre.

During her stay at the hospital and GP Care Centre, she enjoyed making crafts and various paintings as well as doing some knitting and crocheting.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Owen (Bonnie) Lega, Sheila (Jason) Bosvik, and Penny (Charlie) Gowing; grandchildren: Raymond, Kyle, Max, and Sarah Lega; Serena S., Klinton, and Jocelyn Gowing; and great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Anastasia, and Arya.

A small family Memorial Service will be held in Brownvale in Summer 2019.

    I got to know Rosie quite well while she was in the hospital on 3 North. She had a kind heart and was very creative. She would often talk of her life with little ones while living overseas and about all of her hard work as a cook. She loved to talk once she got started! My condolences. Sincerely, Holly Meinen
