Obituary For Noralee Gilmore

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Nora Gilmore, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the age of 61 years.

Nora was born in Penticton, BC, on March 3, 1962, but was raised in Hedley, BC. She spent many years living in Kelowna, raising her family and working as Branch Manager at CIBC. In 2006 she met her love Macy Peterson, and made her move, with her younger children, to Grande Prairie. There she found her calling as Director of Residential Services at Signature Support Services. She worked there until her retirement in 2023.

Nora enjoyed golfing, watching sports, such as hockey, baseball, and curling. She loved reading, especially anything by Stephen King. She also loved spending time with friends and family, as well as travelling as often as she could.

Nora leaves behind her loving husband Macy Peterson; daughters Lindsay Boyo and Kelsey Gilmore; sons Brodyn and Kyler Gilmore; stepchildren: Chelsea, Lindsay, and Bryan Peterson; and grandson Wiley Boyo.

Nora was predeceased by her parents Marguerite and Eugene Tillotson; sister Verna Tillotson, and brother Charles Tillotson.

A Service will be held on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at 3:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Nora was my mama for the last 17 years or so. We laughed and cried about so many things I can't even list them. She was such an amazing woman. I'm going to miss her so much. She knew she could never replace my mother, but holy heck did she do an amazing job as a stepmother! I love you mama Nora, I hope you and all my loved ones are celebrating up in heaven.
