Obituary For Norma White

Norma White, resident of Teepee Creek, AB passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 in Grande Prairie, AB at the age of 89 years.

Norma was born November 5, 1926 in Grande Prairie, AB to Norman and Nina Talbot. She was the fourth of five children. Norma was raised in the Kleskun Lake area.

For her elementary years, she attended the Tranquility School and then rode horseback to Grande Prairie to attended high school. She married Bill White in 1944. Norma always had the coffee on and neighbours were always welcome.

Norma is survived by her sister Pearl McLaughlin, sister in-law Katherine Talbot, children: Bernice (Alfred) Noren, Vivian (Harvey) Gulick, William (Elisabeth) White, Robert White (Marilyn) and Jamie (Debbie) White. She also leaves behind 31 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 12 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and adopted grandchildren.

Norma was predeceased by her parents Norman and Nina Talbot; sister Eileen (Leslie) Hoag; brothers Oliver (Alene) Talbot and Don Talbot; husband Bill White, daughter Sharren White, grandchildren Blaine White, Alyssa Stinson and Ken Sorgen; in-laws: Bob and Margaret White, Doris and Jack Walker, Ted Rycroft and Elmer McLaughlin.

Thank you to the Sexsmith Medical Clinic and the staff at Wild Rose Manor for all their care and compassion over the last few years.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016, at 2:00pm at Teepee Creek Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Talbot House in care of Teepee Creek Museum (Box 40, Site 1, RR#2, Sexsmith, AB, T0H 3C0).

    Buck and I , norma are sorry to hear of this great ladys passing . we always enjoyed our visits with her, she was so proudof all her family , take solece in knowing that Hugs to all Buck and norma smith
