Obituary For Olga Clara Heikel

Olga Clara Heikel passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the age of 86 years.

Olga was born in Wembley, AB on January 14, 1932.

She married the love of her life, Walter Heikel, on January 14, 1950. Olga and Walter spent their lives in the Huallen and Grande Prairie areas. Together they raised six wonderful children.

She is survived by all six of her children: Lucille (Ed) Lamy, Darlene (Frank) Corlis, Kelly Heikel, Roger (Helen) Heikel, Sherry (Wes Mudryk) Heikel, Karen (Jim Grant) Heikel; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Our loving mother, our beautiful “wild strawberry”, will be remembered and missed.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018, at 12:00pm, at Faith Lutheran Church in Grande Prairie (9610 108 Ave.).

Memorial donations may be made to Tiny Hands of Hope (Unit 102, 16102 102 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8X 0K7).

Olga and Walter were my next door neighbors. Best neighbors ever. After Walter passed I took Olga to learn to paint. She could paint birds very well. I have a lot of memories of them both. They would look after our cats when we went away for a few days. I loved them both very much.
