Obituary For Otto Woisetschlager
Otto Woisetschlager, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 95 years.
Otto was born March 16, 1924 in Stift Kaplitz, Germany. He was raised in Germany and moved to Canada in 1952. He went to Agriculture School in Canada and worked for many years as a farmer and carpenter.
He taught himself music, was good at math, a great carver, and he enjoyed golfing.
Otto will be missed by wife of 63 years Gertrude; daughter Linda (Don) Cooke, grandchildren Amber, and Christine Cooke; great-grandchildren Mikayla, Carter, and Kaden.
He was predeceased by his daughter Sonya Woisetschlager.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019, at 2:00pm, at Grande Prairie Cemetery (84th Ave. & 112th St.).
Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke of Alberta (144, 5241 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton, AB, T6H 5G8).
