Obituary For Parker Logan Day

Parker Logan Day, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 35 years.

Parker was born in Red Deer, AB, to Mark Day and Gladys Burte. He moved to Edmonton, AB, and Calgary, AB, with his mom until he was 12 years old when he came to Grande Prairie to live with his dad.

Parker attended Ecole Montrose Elementary School, the Grande Prairie Composite High School, and he received his Journeyman Red Seal for welding at SAIT. He worked for various welding companies around Grande Prairie until he decided to try something where he could help other people; that is when Parker started working at Rotary House.

He was charismatic, had a quick sense of humour, very accepting and tolerant of others, extremely generous, thoughtful, and concerned about others before himself.

He was a voracious reader, enjoyed a good movie, liked playing chess, and debating everything from movies, to philosophy, history, and science fiction.

Parker will be sadly missed by his father Mark W. (Donna) Day; mother Gladys J. (Tom) Burte; siblings: Mackenzie, Tyler and Kia Day; as well as many friends and coworkers.

He was predeceased by both maternal and paternal grandparents.

A private Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 1:00pm. A Livestream will be available to view on his obituary page on the Oliver’s Funeral Home website prior to the start of the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Rotary House (10101 97A St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 0X3).
