Patty Collinge, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, at the age of 62 years.

Patty was born April 25, 1961, to Jane Mudie. Her siblings are brothers Jimmie and Dougie, and sister Betty Anne Mudie. Patty had 2 children, Anny (Thom) and Shawn, 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.

Patty was raised by her grandparents Sammuel and Lois Barthorpe in Stroud, ON. She attended school in Barrie, ON.

She started working at the age of 19 on and off in a nursing home, and selling produce with her grandparents. Then Patty moved to Calgary, AB, where she began working at McDonald's and Squires restaurant. She eventually moved to Grande Prairie where she worked at McDonalds, which is where she met Bert Collinge. The pair were married in 1991, by pastors Jim and Ruth Wall. Patty later worked for 9 years at Costco and 8 ½ years at Superstore.

Patty loved and adored her 2 cats Angel and Precious. She collected porcelain dolls and had a huge collection of stuffed bears. She also had an impressive collection of puzzles and clothes.

Patty loved to go to the Gospel Jamboree every summer in Beaverlodge, AB, with Bert. She loved people and was always so full of joy and laughter.

Patty also loved to travel to Banff, AB, and Jasper, AB, to see the mountains, browse the shops, and have lunch. Patty and Bert talked to many people on their excursions and made many, many friends.

Patty enjoyed TV, some of her favorite shows were: The Price is Right, The Waltons, Littlest Hobo, Mayday, various cooking shows, and CSI.

Patty's favorite Bible verse was Psalm 23 “The Lord is my shepherd”; she said she loved the Psalms. Some of her favorite hymns were: Amazing Grace, How Great Art Thou, and Blessed Assurance. She attended Believers Full Gospel Assembly for over 30 years and also attended the Ladies Interdenominational Bible Study faithfully every week lead by Gloria Evenson. She loved to meet with the ladies.

Patty was a treasure that will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Bert; her children, grandchildren, and siblings. We miss you and we love you forever💖🌹

I met Pat in Calgary where our two children Ann and Shawn were born. She was always a happy cheerful woman and I know that our children and me miss her very much. We were happy when she met and married Bert because we thought he was a good man and that he would always keep her loved, safe and happy. I hope you will always remember her for the sweet lady that she was and that you will help Bert through this painful time in his life.
